We provide a comprehensive training program including all aspects of operating a powered lift machine. Counterbalance forklift training offers operators of forklifts with the understanding and practical skills considered necessary to operate forklifts safely and efficiently. The program provides a combination of classroom theory, hands-on training and participant observation in a warehouse-type setting. Training can be customized and/or on site.
The course goes through the lift truck basics, rules and regulations, components, factors affecting stability and load centres. Procedures regarding the general operation of the forklift is taught, in addition to startup, circle checks, shutdown, forward/reverse on level ground, and operating around other individuals. Load handling topics comprise selection of loads, load pickup and placements, loading and off-loading trailers and load security and integrity. Participants would learn operational maintenance procedures, such as refueling and recharging. Safety concerns in the workplace would be talked about. Those participating will know the environmental conditions affecting the performance of the lift truck and be able to identify possible hazards. Advanced training on propane handling could be included.

Entry-level Course Outline:
This course is for anybody entering the work force as an operator of a forklift. Successful students must finish the program and pass a series of written and practical exams. Topics includes: essentials of powered lift trucks; general operating procedures; operational maintenance; load handling; workplace safety; basic regulations and rules.
